As the guest service agent, you are responsible for assisting them in finding that flavour. Fortunately, we live in the perfect spot to make it happen. Reporting directly to the Guest Service Manager, this position is responsible for representing the resort through all stages of the guests stay.    

Tofino Resort + Marina is an adventure-focused resort located on the waterfront in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia, and is also the home of 1909 Kitchen+Bar. Set in the heart of town, on the water, Tofino Resort + Marina is a base camp for adventures of all types. We serve the authentic Tofino experience, from the food to the fishing to the surf breaks of Long Beach.   

  

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties    

  • Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments  
  • Providing accurate information in ensuring the sales of rooms to maximize resort revenue 
  • Maintain full comprehensive knowledge of room locations, features, rates, packages, and   property offerings  
  • Responsible for all aspects of the front office and rooms while on shift  
  • Assist with check in/out process of groups and tours  
  • Effectively handle, investigate, and resolve and guest concerns that may arise in a professional and timely manner  
  • Handle phone, email, and online reservations and inquires  
  • Maintain knowledge of Resort operation hours  
  • Interact effectively with Guests and Staffs to create a positive Resort experience  

  

Job Requirements/Qualifications:  

  • Previous Front Desk or Guest Services experience an asset  
  • Pleasant personality and excellent personal presentation  
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office programs  
  • Flexibility with shifts is a must

Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our team of Room Attendants and to ensure we provide excellent customer service. Housekeeping Supervisor responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members and checking private and public areas for tidiness. Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor will: 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks 
  • Oversee staff daily 
  • Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards 
  • Perform room checks and common area walkthroughs on a daily basis to ensure standards are maintained 
  • Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job 
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock 
  • Clean guest rooms as demand dictates 
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds. 
  • Work directly with and report to the Housekeeping Manager 

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications: 

 

  • Previous Housekeeping Supervisor experience  
  • Excellent organizational and team management skills 
  • Detailed oriented  
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends 
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent

The menus are ingredient-driven, with inspirations from Pacific regions like Mexico, Japan and the Pacific Northwest. Outside influences from Italy and France stand out as well.

Job Description: 

 

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide a prompt and warm reception to all guests and find suitable seating. 
  • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the restaurant. 
  • Possess a working knowledge of the Resort in order to answer guest questions. 
  • Assist servers with table maintenance and food running. 
  • Maintain product knowledge of all food and beverage items served. 
  • Effectively manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity. 
  • Maintain orderly queues. 
  • Monitor and measure wait times. 
  • Maintain a clean work environment; constantly monitor immediate area and surroundings of trash and debris and remove as necessary. 
  • Know all table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section. 
  • Communicate with managers and all FOH staff to maintain proper guest flow throughout the venue. 
  • Escort guests to their table, engage them in conversation and seat them accordingly. 
  • Other various duties assigned or required by management. 
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
