Job Description:    

Core Job Responsibilities and Duties Working in both indoor and outdoor settings  

  • Hire, recruit, train, and manage Maintenance team members that are inspired by adventure. 
  • Skilled and knowledgeable in maintenance operations such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general repairs. 
  • Working both indoor and outdoor settings  
  • Maintain maintenance department to the highest standard of organization & cleanliness.  
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of the facilities infrastructures including machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.  
  • Always follow safety procedures while performing duties. Including safely operating vehicles, tools, machinery and complying with all WCB and Whmis standards of compliance.  
  • Oversee and maintain the cleanliness of the exterior resort property ensuring property is upkept with well-groomed landscaping.  
  • Inspect and maintain recreational equipment (Adventure Centre and Tough Fit Gym) to ensure proper safety standards are met, completing any minor repairs as needed.  
  • Implement a tool and equipment log ensuring security of all such equipment is maintained 
  • Prepare and oversee scheduling and payroll for maintenance department  
  • Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services.  
  • Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff. 
  • Supervise seasonal and part time staff members.  
  • Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security.  
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects.  
  • Assist in planning and management of the facility’s operations budget  
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility  
  • Develop and maintain a risk registry, including maintenance and servicing schedule of all plant and equipment on property. Arranging with contractors when required to service such equipment   
  • Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs  
  • Continuously provide strong customer service to guests and to all departments with the ability to prioritize workload  
  • Oversee contractors as required.

FOH Support Staff provide support to Servers by inspecting all tables for proper set-up, cleanliness, and completeness.

Job Description: 

  • Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties. 
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment. 
  • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes. 
  • Prepare a variety meat, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in various types of food equipment. 
  • Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food. 
  • Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees. 
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnishes. 
  • Uses our standard recipes for preparing all products. 
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area  
  • Close kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. 
  • Inform Executive Chef immediately of any product shortages. 
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef or MOD

Job Description: 

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties 

  • Load run and unload dish machine. 
  • Keep the dishwashing station clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to the manager immediately. 
  • Monitor the dishwashing machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle. 
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware. 
  • Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and cook equipment for the kitchen. 
  • Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times. 
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss. 
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies. 
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required.

As a Fishing Guide, you are often the first face customers see as they step onto the dock, ready for adventure. The Fishing Guide is responsible for performing and overseeing all aspects of their Fishing and Adventure Tours. About the role:  

  • Deliver highest level of professionalism and customer service for all fishing, tour, moorage and resort guests encountered 
  • Prepare vessels and all equipment required for fishing, tours as needed. 
  • Safely operate TRM vessels to deliver wildlife, adventure and fishing tours and provide high quality tour experience for guests  
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout assigned boat, dock and marine operations. 
  • Lead by example including ensuring high standards by all captains and maintenance is reported quickly and resolved.  
  • Follow Transport Canada and TRM marina rules and SOPs including spill response guidelines 
  • Consistent Communicate with Adventure + Marine Operations office regarding scheduling 
  • Room to grow within the Adventure + Marine Operations Department

The Night Auditor is the sole worker during the evening hours and is expected to maintain the standards and safety at Tofino Resort + Marina. Must possess exemplary telephone skills, math skills and must thrive on providing customer service excellence. 

 

Night Auditor Responsibilities  

  • Report to the AGM and Accounting Department. 
  • Shift from 11pm-7am. 
  • Responsible for all daily balancing, posting and nightly controls pertaining to the departments   at Tofino Resort + Marina. 
  • Verify charges posted from POS software reached the correct guest folio account, supported by documentary evidence and no missing signatures. 
  • Run end of day process in property management software (PMS) and final balancing of departments.  
  • Guest Services, check-in, check-out. Answer reservation calls & posting to guest accounts.  
  • Complete knowledge of emergency procedures. 
  • Verifies that room rates are correct and posts those rates to guest accounts. 
  • Monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs. 
  • Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics. 
  • Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities. 
  • Summarizes results of operations for management. 
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information. 
  • Knows how to operate PMS (WebRez) and other front office equipment’s. 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Minimum one year of Guest Service experience, experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks. 
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
