It is up to the Guest Services Manager to provide necessary training to all personnel working front desk operations. The Night Auditor is the sole worker during the evening hours and is expected to maintain the standards and safety at Tofino Resort + Marina. Must possess exemplary telephone skills, math skills and must thrive on providing customer service excellence.

Night Auditor Responsibilities 

  • Report to the Rooms Division Manager & Accounting Department.
  • Shift from 11pm-7am.
  • Responsible for all daily balancing, posting and nightly controls pertaining to the departments at Tofino Resort + Marina.
  • Verify charges posted from POS software reached the correct guest folio account, supported by documentary evidence and no missing signatures.
  • Run end of day process in property management software (PMS) and final balancing of departments.
  • Guest Services, check-in, check-out. Answer reservation calls & posting to guest accounts.
  • Complete knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Verifies that room rates are correct and posts those rates to guest accounts.
  • Monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs.
  • Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
  • Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities.
  • Summarizes results of operations for management.
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
  • Knows how to operate PMS (WebRez) and other front office equipment’s.

  • Minimum one year of Guest Service experience, experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.

  • Responsible for promoting and selling various adventure tours and packages, including Whale Watching, Bear Watching, Hot Springs Cove or Fishing trips
  • Responsible for checking in/out moorage, tours, hotel guests, float plane flights and rental vessels and equipment
  • Operating the POS system to process all sales related to marina and hotel including retail
  • Ensure clear communication and tour planning to enable delivery of safe and enjoyable tours including booking captains, VHF communication and accurate waivers completion
  • Assisting with tying up Float Planes and TRM tour vessels as required
  • Answer phone calls and email enquiries
  • Follow TRM marina rules and SOPs including spill response guidelines

As a Dockhand, you are the face of adventure at our resort, and often the first face customers see as they step off the boat of float plane, ready for adventure.  This is a great position for someone looking to grow into a dock supervisor or Captain position in the tourism industry. Job Description:

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greet guests, TRM vessels and float planes, help dock and ensure guests are moored in the correct slip and assist with fish totes and show the onsite facilities including ice room, guest showers and washrooms
  • Prepare guests for tours and take to TRM vessel
  • Follow Transport Canada and TRM marina rules and SOPs including spill response guidelines
  • Rental boat program checking boats/guests in and out
  • Keep docks and moorage facilities clean and well maintained
  • Assist in charter office if needed

Tuff Fit Personal Trainer

We’re specifically looking to work with a personal trainer who will provide fitness classes to Tuff Fit members & TRM’s guests. Think OrangeTheory. Not Crossfit. Seven days a week.
