Server

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. Each server’s primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, so they will always want to return.

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Upon clocking-in, perform section check. This includes the following:
    • Read all reservation notes attached to your section. Follow-up on all guest requests permitted by the company. If in doubt, inquire with the MOD.
    • Wipe chair seat, back rest (both sides), booths and tables to eliminate finger prints, crumbs and grease marks.
    • Ensure that table set-up is to the restaurant standard.
    • Wipe down and clean any other items that are on the table.
    •  Check all glassware on table and polish it so that it is streak-free.
    • Remove any extra settings as per table reservations.
    • Assist hosting team in seating guests.
  • Welcome and greet guests. Explain the restaurant’s concept in a clear, concise manner.
  • Inform guests of any features.
  • Make recommendations of food and drink products (cocktails, wine, dessert, and after-dinner drinks).
  • Visually present to all guests our products (such as wine) that you bring to the table.
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services, such the marina, the resort, or Tofino in general.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders accurately in POS system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
  • Provide the following table service: top up water, beer, wine, and soda at all times. Offer another “round” once current one is ¾ empty.
  •  Make wine glass and plate changes
  •  Bring the guest any item(s) they request (butter, salt, pepper, etc.)
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by the serving team side duties assignment sheet.
  • Monitor and observe guest’s dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Prepare final bill ensuring its accuracy, present check to guest, enter and accept correct payment, process credit/debit/gift card charges accurately or make change if applicable
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return. Smile.
  • Reset section according to the restaurant’s table set standards.
  • Accurately complete server cash-out at the end of service shift, using the cash-out form provided by the Company and sign out with MOD.
Experience & Qualification
  • Be 19 years of age, and possess a Serving It Right certification.
  • 1+ years’ hospitality experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a POS.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Proven track record of creating world-class experiences.
  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills.
  • Must have a strong passion to succeed, and the willingness to learn and be coached by others.
Host/Hostess

The host(ess) is responsible for assigning customers to tables by performing an adequate rotation of sections to ensure exceptional service. The candidate must also take phone calls, take and place reservations, manage the waiting list of people who wait for a table and be able to respond to various questions of the customers.

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Provide a prompt and warm reception to all guests and find suitable seating.
  • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the restaurant.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the resort, in order to answer guest questions
  • Assist servers with table maintenance and food running.
  • Maintain product knowledge of all food and beverage items served.
  • Effectively manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity.
  • Maintain orderly queues.
  • Monitor and measure wait times.
  • Maintain a clean work environment; constantly monitor immediate area and surroundings of trash and debris and remove as necessary.
  • Be familiar with table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section.
  • Communicate with managers and all FOH staff to maintain proper guest flow throughout the venue.
  • Escort guests to their table, engage them in conversation and seat them accordingly.
  • Other various duties assigned or required by management.

Breakfast Cook

Job Description:

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Responsible for preparing some of and executing all breakfast menu items.
  • Daily prep lists.
  • Cleaning and set up/ take down of section.
  • Must be proficient with egg cookery, hollandaise, basic baking skills.
  • Speed and consistency are the two most important attributes for this position.
  • Guests that come for breakfast usually have plans for the rest of their day and appreciate a timely meal. Many will want to leave to go fishing as soon as they finish eating.
  • After service clean down, change inserts and prep in the back for the next day. It is the breakfast cooks responsibility to prep almost all their own items.
  • 6:00AM starts

Dishwasher

Job Description:

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Load run and unload dish machine.
  • Keep the dishwashing station clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to the manager immediately.
  • Monitor the dishwashing machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
  • Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and cook equipment for the kitchen.
  • Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times.
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Skilled Maintenance Labourer

Job Description:

  • Work in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Perform maintenance operations such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general repairs as per the request of the Maintenance Manager
  • Clean and maintain shop, shop equipment, and work areas
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the resort property

  • Certification in a maintenance related program an asset

Guest Service Agent

Guest Service Agent

Reporting directly to the Front Desk Supervisor, this position is responsible for representing the Resort through all stages of the guests stay.

Job Descriptions

  • Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments
  • Providing accurate information in ensuring the sales of rooms to maximize resort revenue
  • Maintain full comprehensive knowledge of room locations, features, rates, packages, and property offerings
  • Responsible for all aspects of the front office and rooms while on shift
  • Assist with check in/out process of groups and tours
  • Effectively handle, investigate, and resolve and guest concerns that may arise in a professional and timely manner
  • Handle phone, email, and online reservations and inquires
  • Maintain knowledge of Resort operation hours
  • Interact effectively with Guests and Staffs to create a positive Resort experience

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Previous Front Desk or Guest Services experience an asset
