Guest Service Agent

Job Description:

  • Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments   
  • Maintain full comprehensive knowledge of room locations, features, rates, packages, and property offerings   
  • Book and accurately describe all Marina Adventure offerings  
  • Effectively handle, investigate, and resolve and guest concerns that may arise in a professional and timely manner   
  • Handle phone, email, and online reservations and inquires   
  • Interact effectively with Guests and Staff to create a positive Resort experience
  • Attend to room requests when maintenance technicians or housekeepers are not available 
  • Process gift cards and retail shop sales 

     Job Requirements/Qualifications: 

  •  Previous Front Desk or Guest Services experience an asset   
  • Pleasant personality and excellent personal presentation   
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office programs   
  • Experience with Webrez PMS, Givex and Shift4 would be an asset 
  • Flexibility with shifts is a must. 8 hour shifts typically begin at 7am or 3pm and you will be required to work both depending on business needs

Wage/Salary:

  • $18.50/hourly
Housekeeper

Job Description: 

  •  Clean hotel rooms daily 
  • Provide stayover service for guests 
  • Adhere to company standards of room cleanliness
  • Maintain, clean, and stock housekeeping storage rooms 
  • Maintain, clean, and stock housekeeping carts 
  • Maintain and clean Resort property and common grounds 
  • Assist in the Resort Laundry Section when required

Job Requirements/Qualifications: 

  •  Previous housekeeping experience an asset but not required 
  • Cell phone with Canadian phone plan to communicate with team during work 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required 
  • Comfortability cleaning pet-friendly rooms  
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds 
  • Interest in learning and growing within the hospitality and tourism industries

  • $18.50/hourly
Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description:

  • Skilled and knowledgeable in maintenance operations such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general repairs
  • Supervise team of maintenance technicians
  • Maintain department to the highest standard of organization & cleanliness
  • Diligently follow safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles, tools, machinery and complying with all WCB and WHMIS standards
  • Oversee and maintain the cleanliness of the exterior resort property
  • Inspect and maintain recreational equipment (Adventure Centre and Tuff Fit Gym) to ensure proper safety standards are met
  • Work with the department manager to develop and maintain a risk registry, including maintenance and servicing schedule of all plants and equipment on property
  • Work with the department manager to develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs
  • Oversee contractors as required
  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests
  • Collaborate with other departments to asses maintenance needs and complete repairs
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl

All other duties as needed

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Previous resort experience a definite asset
  • Certification in a maintenance related program an asset
  • Two years of related maintenance experience required
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Sharepoint an asset
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must have flexibility with scheduling, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of infrastructure including hydro, water, and sewer an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment and delegate tasks where necessary
  • Ability to operate all maintenance equipment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to prioritize daily work tasks and adapt to changing priorities

Wage/Salary:

  • $24/hourly
