Snow. Surf. Skate.
Mt. Washington. Ucluelet. Tofino.
This epic three-part event, taking place May 1–4, 2025, is back for its 8th annual fundraiser. Yes, 100% of the proceeds from this snow, surf, and skate competition go directly to Redd Fish Restoration Society—and they’ve raised over $127K so far! And what better place to host this shred-friendly competition than Vancouver Island, showcasing the natural, rugged grace of this remote corner of the world?
Now, let’s talk about the foundation of this rad event.
It all began in 2017 with one goal: to raise funds and rally support to protect and restore our wild coast—while celebrating the sports we live for and the community that makes it all even more fun.
Redd Fish Restoration Society works in partnership with Nuu-chah-nulth Nations to restore damaged ecosystems, rebuild wild salmon populations, and promote long-term environmental stewardship. Using a combination of Indigenous knowledge, scientific research, and hands-on habitat restoration, they address the root causes of habitat degradation to support the health of West Coast watersheds.
A sneak peek at the schedule.
Day 1 (May 2) kicks off with a banked slalom snowboarding competition at Mount Washington. As the day wraps up, everyone will pack up and make the three-hour drive to Tofino.
Day 2 (May 3) might just be our favorite. The long-anticipated surf competition takes place at Cox Bay, followed by hands-on environmental work with Redd Fish Restoration—specifically, tackling the invasive Scotch Broom by bush pulling. Participants will also get a deeper look into the valuable conservation efforts of the Redd Fish Restoration Society.
Day 3 (May 4) wraps up the event with a thrilling skate competition at Tuff City Skatepark, followed by awards and a concert featuring Les Baliens and The Shivas at the Tofino Community Hall.
Honestly, what more could you ask for?
