On May 24, 2025, the Tofino Resort + Marina waterfront came alive with the sounds of music, laughter, and community spirit. Our second annual Songs for the Sound brought together locals, visitors, and passionate conservationists for an evening celebrating what makes Clayoquot Sound so special — and raising funds to help protect it for generations to come.
From 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, guests enjoyed an incredible lineup of Vancouver Island talent. Adding to the magic, live artist Vanessa St-Yves transformed one of our concrete walls into a stunning coastal-themed mural, capturing the wild beauty of our home on the West Coast.
Why we do it: The Clayoquot Sustainability Fund
Songs for the Sound isn’t just about good music — it’s about making a difference. Through ticket sales, food and drink purchases, silent auction bids, and donations, we raised funds for the Clayoquot Sustainability Fund.
Established in partnership with the Clayoquot Biosphere Trust (CBT), the fund supports conservation, restoration, education, and research initiatives across this UNESCO Biosphere Region. Past beneficiaries include:
- Tofino Salmon Enhancement Society
- Raincoast Education Society
- Redd Fish Restoration Society
- Maaqutusiis Hahoulthee Stewardship Society
It’s part of our ongoing commitment at Tofino Resort + Marina to live by our mission: Integrity. Passion. Sustainability.
Thank you for being part of it
To everyone who joined us (whether you danced to every song, bid on auction items, or simply came to soak in the atmosphere) thank you. Your presence helps protect Clayoquot Sound and supports the communities who call it home.
See you in 2026
Songs for the Sound will be back next year, and we’re already dreaming up ways to make it even bigger, better, and louder (in all the right ways). Stay tuned for the 2026 date and lineup announcement — we can’t wait to see you there.
