Tofino Resort + Marina Coverage
The thing about places like Tofino is you don’t simply end up here by accident. It takes effort and once you’re here, you feel part of a special club – where even its longtime members seem genuinely happy you’ve arrived.
The hip home base of this ocean-front community on Vancouver Island’s west coast is a full-service, one-stop shop, delivering comfort, fine dining, a lively watering hole, water taxi, and an ocean adventure centre ready to whisk you away to the region’s islands and inlets.
Finding a full-service resort to stay at, with its own dock and friendly, relaxed staff, only a short stroll from the oceanside community’s artisan shops and surf shops is the hard part. At least, it was until Tofino Resort + Marina opened in February.
This upscale boutique hotel is a welcome place to hang your hat while exploring Pacific Rim National Reserve.
This isolated Canadian destination is more alluring in the off-season
Tofino Resort + Marina offers laid-back lodging in a stunning setting that’s ideal for outdoors enthusiasts. As the region’s only waterfront resort and marina, the venue lives up to its “inspired by adventure” tagline by offering excursions ranging from whale- and bear-watching tours to hiking excursions (on Lone Cone Mountain, Meares Island and Vargas Island) and hot springs cove cruises.
Culinary Coverage
Vancouver Island is fast becoming a national culinary powerhouse, and no wonder — it boasts a remarkable bounty of fresh, local produce.
Newly renovated Tofino Resort and Marina opened this past summer, bringing a glittering new profile—and an outstanding local ingredient focused restaurant and pub—to the town.
