Dan and Andrew together form the ownership team at Tofino Resort + Marina. They are passionate about creating unforgettable experiences and connections to the West Coast through outdoor adventures, and inspire their team to do exactly that. They look forward to building something special that we can all be proud of on this beautiful Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation land.
The team behind the dream
“Growing up in in London and graduating from the University of Western Ontario, I was lucky enough to begin my career in some amazing locations around the globe—Muskoka, Whistler, Australia, and the Bahamas. I found a long-term home at the Drake Hotel, a dynamic environment in the heart of Queen West Toronto. In 2020, I had the pleasure of joining Tofino Resort + Marina in the role of Assistant General Manger. Leaving briefly to lead the team at Cobble Beach, one of Canada’s Top 100 Golf Courses, I was lucky enough to come back to TRM in the summer of 2023 in my current role. Tofino is a special place and being able to help create once in a lifetime experience for our many guests is an absolute privilege. I am looking forward to always calling it home.”
“I’m born and raised in India, I have a degree in Economics and Financial Management Diploma from Switzerland, and I’m married and have two grown up daughters.
I started my carrier in Dubai with Hilton International Co as Computer Operator. Ever since, I travelled various Hilton International properties in Middle East, Africa & Europe. After being the Financial Controller for Dubai Hilton, in 1995 I moved to Kenya as the Director of Finance Kenya.
In the early 2000s, I moved to Canada for my daughter’s better education and better living standards. Here, I have been working for Marriott Properties in BC and Alberta.
Finally, in 2022, I wanted to work for an independent Hotel to get new experiences. I saw the ad from TRM and I thought “This place is beautiful!” All worked out and I am enjoying my job and the village atmosphere a lot.”

“Originally from Scotland, I moved to Canada in 2017, and never looked back. Always working within the realm of tourism and hospitality, I jumped at the opportunity to move to Tofino and become part of the TRM team. I love living on the West Coast for its spectacular scenery, diverse community, and resemblance to home.”

“When I first visited Tofino a few years ago, I realized that this was the paradise on earth I was looking for. Consequently, I moved here permanently to enjoy all kinds of adventures in the peaceful nature that surrounds us. Foraging, surfing, hiking, travelling, and wildlife watching are just some of the things I am passionate about. By making sure our assets are well maintained at TRM, I want our visitors to be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery that the Clayoquot region has to offer.”
