Our Remote Floating Sauna has become one of the most sought-after wellness escapes in Tofino, and for good reason. Set deep within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve on the traditional territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, it’s a place to step away from the noise of the everyday and reconnect with nature, wellness, and each other.
Over the years, locals have asked for more opportunities to enjoy this special place too. With that feedback in mind, we’re excited to introduce the Community Floating Sauna Experience: a way for Tofino and Ucluelet residents to access the floating sauna in a new and intentional way.
What It Is
Beginning October 1st, every Sunday and Wednesday morning at 8 a.m., we’ll host a per-seat community trip. Unlike private charters, these sessions are designed for locals to book individually or in small groups, then come together to share the sauna experience.
- Duration: 4 hours (same as private bookings)
- Local Rate: $179 per person
- Minimum Group Size: 4 people required to confirm departure
- Proof of Residency: Required at check-in or via email in advance. ID with Tofino/Ucluelet address or a paystub work great.
- A Dry Experience: No alcohol or substances
Your adventure begins with a scenic 30-minute boat ride through Clayoquot Sound, followed by time to unwind in the wood-fired cedar sauna, plunge into the salty healing waters of the Pacific, and then warm back up by the fire.
The floating sauna has always been about more than heat and water—it’s about connection. For locals, it’s an invitation to rediscover the backyard we’re lucky enough to call home.
