When you love your backyard as much as we do, you do what you can to protect it. This year, we took Fish for the Future—our marquee catch-and-release, family-focused fishing event—and turned it into The Fish for the Future Fund that aims to safeguard wild salmon in Clayoquot Sound. This year, the tournament as well as other efforts helped us raise over $55,000 to put towards habitat restoration and other important wild salmon initiatives. The fishing event will continue, of course, but next year we aim to raise even more money and awareness about wild salmon issues. We’re only getting started.
|This September 25th – 27th 2020, Fish for the Future will return to Tofino. This catch-and-release salmon tournament is hosted by Tofino Resort + Marina. The tournament will benefit the Fish for the Future Fund, with 100% of all revenue, dollar for dollar, going toward wild salmon protection & research projects. The Fish for the Future Fund is managed by the Clayoquot Biosphere Trust, our regional community foundation.|
In an effort to support the future fishermen and women of the Clayoquot Sound, the 2020 tournament will allow kids age 12 and under to participate for free. Children must be properly supervised by an adult.
